Inhalt

Modelle sind verkürzte Abbildungen der Realität, die man für viele verschiedene Zwecke einsetzen kann, insbesondere zur Dokumentation, Analyse und Simulation von realen Sachverhalten. Die Bandbreite der Nutzung reicht von grundlegenden Forschungsfragen in der Wissenschaft bis hin zu sehr praxisorientierten Aufgaben, wie beispielsweise die Abbildung von Daten und Prozessen in IT-Systemen. In der Veranstaltung werden die fundamentalen Aspekte der Nutzung von Modellen gemeinsam mit den Studierenden erarbeitet und anschließend in praktischen Übungen der Daten- und Prozessmodellierung für reale betriebliche Anwendungen gefestigt. Die erworbenen Kenntnisse sind von so grundlegender Natur, dass sie auch viele Jahre nach Abschluss des Studiums voraussichtlich noch gültig sein werden und andererseits für eine Vielzahl von Problemen praktisch nutzbar.
